STA Standards Setting

As a result of a trend towards the regulation of complementary therapies the Sound Therapy Association has been set up to provide the necessary self-regulatory structures and processes to enable the required professional standards for sound therapy practitioners.

The primary outcome of such self-regulation means that members of the public can receive assurance in sound therapy competence and professionalism.

The Sound Therapy Association therefore offers sound therapists and healers a set of clearly defined professional guidelines they agree to adhere to in their therapeutic practice.

The STA's professional guidelines are based on templates derived from an evolving process of voluntary self-regulation for all complementary therapies in the UK.

The STA Professional Standards have been jointly drafted and agreed by the British Academy of Sound Therapy, the College of Sound Healing and the UK School for Inner Sound.
